To Digress a Bit.

Well, You have to have hobbies other than swinging, right? my wife, Bobbi-jo ( See her blog at www.longislandfetishprincess.blogspot.com) We enjoy restoring antique autos and showing them around the country. This is our latest completed car, a 1972 CHECKER NYC Taxicab. restored from the ground up, it has a 295 hp. small block Chevy 350, turbo 400 transmission and 9" rear.
Our next project is to complete a VERY rare DeSoto SKYVIEW taxicab that we purchased in Rhode Island about 7 years ago, a 1950 model that was used in NYC. it is the first stretched taxicab, and has a glass sunroof for the passengers to look at the tall buildings through. Since it is a rarity, the process of restoration has been slow going, but it is now about 75% finished. Some rewiring, making a complete new wiring harness for the entire car, the glass and trim installation and it will be ready for the interior.
That will be followed this Winter by a 1946 Ford coupe that we are building into a Street Rod.
She will be a "nostalgia" type car, with dual Strombergs on Offy manifold and high compression aluminum heads, fully built flathead engine, and more.. stay tuned for more photos.
